If you’re reading this, it’s because we’ve just started a new chapter on our website. We’re excited to launch this space, which, starting today, will be dedicated to sharing tips, ideas and relevant information for those looking for inspiration and guidance in the world of newborns.
Get ready for a weekly reading filled with topics such as what to take to the maternity ward, what to offer at a baby shower, and even interesting facts about the most useful (and adorable!) products for little ones.
And as it couldn't be otherwise, today we start with a question that many people ask: What is a Baby Box, after all?
The Origin of Baby Boxes
Baby Boxes originated in Finland in the 1930s as part of a government initiative to reduce high infant mortality rates. Originally, these boxes were given to pregnant women and contained essential items for the baby's first months of life, such as clothes, hygiene products and even a small mattress, transforming the box itself into a safe crib.
It was so successful that Finland became one of the countries with the lowest infant mortality rates in the world, and the idea quickly spread to other parts of the world.
Why Are They So Special?
Today, Baby Boxes continue to win hearts, but not only because of their symbolism. They are practical, complete and perfect for those who want to offer a useful and loving gift. More than just a box, they are a gesture that shows care and attention to detail.
Here at our store, we work to make each Baby Box a unique experience, both for the giver and the receiver. Each one is carefully designed to include quality products and items that really make a difference in a baby's first days and months.
